Covert operations are extremely unpredictable and have the potential to turn deadly in a split second. Many covert operations proactively target the worst criminals operating in communities by using undercover law enforcement officers or confidential informants. Unfortunately, the UC or CI often becomes the victim of a robbery, kidnapping, or other violent act. Initially, the UC or CI must aggressively fight or utilize stall tactics to save their life. Over the past several years, there have been numerous occurrences of undercover officers injured or killed during covert operations.

During planned enforcement activities, team leaders and undercover officers must work together to come up with the best type of operation to obtain prosecutable evidence against a violator and minimize risk to the officer. There are many different options officers can explore that include buy busts, buy walk busts, takeoff violator prior to officer arrival, and uses search and warrants. There are dozens of scenarios that arise during enforcement operations and contingencies must be in place for a team to be successful.

To replicate real life scenarios, this four-day, high intensity training course uses reality-based training tactics. Officers will participate in outdoor practical scenarios forcing rescue times to perform in high stress situations. Officers will learn proper tactics and techniques to conduct vehicle rescues, structural rescues, and open-air rescues often experienced in covert operation. 

This is a Simunition-based training. Class participants should dress in a manner suitable for this type of training. All protective gear, Simunition weapons, and duty belts will be provided.
