This intensive two-day training is designed specifically to equip 1st Responders with the vital skills and knowledge necessary to effectively deploy drones in tactical indoor environments. As drone technology continues to gain traction in Public Safety, understanding it applications in high stakes scenarios is essential for 21st century American Policing. This course will provide a thorough introduction to drone technology, including components and functionalities, while also exploring the historical significance within Law Enforcement and public safety.
Participants will engage in critical legal framework, focusing on 14 CFR 107 and 14 CFR 91, and examine state and local laws that govern drone operations. The training emphasizes tactical considerations for indoor flight, including safety protocols, situational awareness, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for various scenarios. Through hands on practical scenarios, participants with gain essential flying experience and explore specific indoor tactical search techniques with respect to various tactical use cases in confined spaces. Due to the hands-on nature of this course, class size is extremely limited.
