Conducting tactical entry and building searches into locations, pursuant to investigations, case culminations, and other tactical necessities, are critical and require specialized training for all levels of law enforcement officers. It is important for entry personnel to be trained, practiced, and professionally critiqued in order to be prepared for such an assignment. In this one-day course, personnel will be instructed and practiced in tactical entry and building clearing techniques as it relates to their daily duties and investigations. This course will provide law enforcement personnel with safe and effective tactics and methodologies. They will be provided with classroom instruction discussing and illustrating tactics, challenges of search teams, planning, synergy, and formations followed by practical entry and building search scenarios.
Students will be immersed in simulated tactical entry and search situations, including suspect apprehension, officer extraction, and other types of search operations. At the completion of this training program, participating personnel will be able to utilize the techniques and carry out entry and building search assignments in a safer and more effective manner. The safety of law enforcement personnel will be paramount, and the well-being of residents and suspects will be taken into consideration and be a priority. Entry/Search personnel will be instructed and practiced on tactics designed to preserve life with an emphasis on tactics, cover, and only necessary force to effectuate a positive operation outcome.
